Computer Science honors BS degree

The University of Utah School of Computing offers an honors BS degree as part of the University of Utah Honors Program. The requirements and admissions procedure for this program can be found in the Undergraduate Handbook.

The program is intended primarily for students thinking of a career in research, but any CS major can apply for the program regardless of career goals. The honors CS program emphasizes taking non-CS courses through the University Honors Program . High school students can apply for admission directly into the program at the time they apply to the U. To do this please submit a paragraph describing your goals to Peter Shirley (shirley@cs.utah.edu), Honors CS program advisor.

Please address questions to Professor Peter Shirley.
