The ViPER center proposes research in a variety of areas centered on making engineered systems sustainable and maintainable in the 21st century. The active areas of research form key components of a virtual engineering environment, which will transform the engineering process and thereby support extremely fast turnaround times for urgent part-supply needs. The ViPER project is funded by the Army Research Office and has joint activities and research with Hampton University and the South Carolina Research Authority.
