CS Course Permission Code Request

Effective Spring 2011 semester, The College of Engineering will be enforcing prerequisite checking for all undergraduate (below 6000) engineering courses. All pre-requisites must be met (with a C- grade or higher) before registering for a CS course. The software does not yet recognize transfer courses as satisfying prerequisites.

If you cannot register for a computer science class because you receive an error telling you that you haven't met the prerequisites, please check the prerequisites listed in the course catalog BEFORE you submit this form. Also ensure that you've properly enrolled in any required co-requisites first.

If you have met all the required prerequisites with a C- grade or better, complete the form below. The School of Computing will be in touch as soon as possible. Do not send an email request in addition to this form.

If you have NOT met the required prerequisites or grade requirements, are not a full CS-major, or the class is full, special permission from the instructor is required. Submit this form to seek permission. Do not contact the instructor directly, as they will refer you to this form.
