Workshop on the Elliptic Curve Discrete Logarithm Problem
University of Waterloo, Waterloo, Ontario, Canada
November 3 & 4, 1997
First Announcement
The primary basis for the security of elliptic curve cryptosystems is the
intractability of the elliptic curve discrete logarithm problem (ECDLP).
The aim of this workshop is to bring together researchers who are
interested in the ECDLP and related topics.
It is hoped that the meeting will encourage and stimulate further research
on the ECDLP, and more generally on the security of elliptic curve
cryptosystems.
There will be 9-10 one-hour invited lectures (and no contributed talks),
with the remaining time used for informal discussions.
The second announcement will be made on October 13. If you did not receive this
announcement directly from the address menezal@mail.auburn.edu and would like
to be added to the mailing list for the second announcement, please send
email to elliptic@math.uwaterloo.ca.
