Certicom PKS 2000, Catch the Perfect Wave of the New Mobile World, to
be held Sept. 19-21, 2000 at the San Jose Fairmont, San Jose, CA., is
a forum where developers, security architects, product managers and
business leaders will learn about and discuss such topics as:
What new business opportunities will arise from the convergence of wireless
voice communication, remote data access and the Internet?
Which of the emerging standards and protocols will drive the next generation
wireless data systems and services?
How are powerful new public-key systems, such as the Elliptic Curve
Cryptosystem, facilitating the new world of wireless/mobile e-business?
For the parallel sessions at Certicom PKS 2000, Certicom is soliciting
papers in all aspects of secure mobile e-business. An extended outline
of the paper covering the subject, background, and the significance to
the mobile world must be received no later than March 31, 2000.
Papers should be submitted to the PKS 2000 Coordinator via email with
attachment. Submissions should be at least two pages and at most 10
pages single-spaced 11pt type. Notification of acceptance or
rejection will be emailed to authors no later than April 30, 2000. An
author of an accepted paper must guarantee that the accepted paper
will be presented at the conference and each author will have the fee
waived for the general conference.
Possible topics for contributed papers are:
Secure e-business Applications/Implementations: financial, postal, medical, etc.
Mobile/wireless Public Key Infrastructures (PKIs)
Secure e-business devices -- PDA, Smart Cards and other embedded systems
Security mobile protocols
Standards (Security, embedded and wireless) including WAP, WTLS, and vertical
specific standards such as financial and postal
Personal Area Networks (PANs)
Virtual Private Networks (VPNs)
Mobile device management and synchronization protocols and solutions
