Call for Papers
ISSE is the European institution for the presentation and discussion of
technical, organisational, legal and political concepts for information
security and data protection.
The conference provides presentations and panel discussions about existing
and future information security solutions for large scale corporations,
enterprises, especially SMEs, commerce, financial & public sector,
healthcare, legal practitioners and security professionals.
The conference is user- orientated and solution-driven. It provides new
opportunities for European industry in the market. ISSE focuses on
information security for e-business, based on cryptography and emerging
security technologies.
As in 1999, ISSE 2000 is again prepared by independent organisations under
the auspices of the European Commission Directorate General XIII and
supported by the German Federal Ministry of Economics.
ISSE 2000 runs over three days and has a four-track structure. There will be
an accompanying exhibition.
Presentations should as much as possible address "benefits to the users" and
"impact on society".
We are looking for papers and panel discussions covering the following

success factors" to the adoption of security technologies
The Programme Committee is open to further suggestions.
How to submit your paper
Authors are invited to submit an extended abstract of their contribution to
the ISSE Programme Committee. The submissions should be original research
results, survey articles or case studies and position papers. Product
placement is unacceptable.
Duration of presentation: approximately 30 minutes + 10 minutes for
questions.
Extended abstracts or full papers with abstract must be in English and at
least 4 pages long (c. 2,000 words).
Please suggest a track for your presentation (Technical, Infrastructure,
Applications, Legal/Political) and indicate the interest level:
1 - for delegates without specific knowledge
2 - for delegates with IT experience
3 - for application developers (interested in IT security)
4 - for IT security specialists
Submissions are to be accompanied by a personal biography (max. 200 words)
of the presenter and a full contact address.
Electronic submission only (PDF format, RTF or Word6/Word97 only if PDF not
possible).

Deadlines
