- The student applies for admission with the Department of Computer
Science.
- When accepted, a supervisory committee will be assigned.
The chairman of the committee must be the faculty member recommending admission
to the program. The other two supervisory committee members will include
the Director of Graduate Studies and one other member of the Graduate
Studies committee (other faculty members may be on the committee if approved
by the Graduate Studies Committee).
The Supervisory Committee Form will then sent to
the Dean's Office. After it has approved the committee,
copies of the form will be sent to the student, departmental office and
the the student's advisor.
- The Candidacy Form must be received in the Dean's Office at least one
quarter before the student expects to graduate.
- Upon approval by the Dean's Office of the program of study on the Candidacy Form,
it is sent to the Graduation Office and copies are returned to the department.
- The Completion Form, indicating
that the student anticipates finishing all coursework by
the end of the quarter, should be received in the Dean's Office 3 weeks before
the end of the quarter.
If the form has been sent and the student
doesn't complete all coursework, the Dean's Office is notified.
- When the Graduation Office has completed its final check, it
returns the Candidacy Form, to which
the Dean's office gives approval for graduation by returning
the form to the Graduation Office.
