Abstract
A medium is a technology for expression. Interactive systems define a powerful modern medium. We can look at the expressive media of the past and learn things about what a new interactive medium should be. A medium can be analyzed based on its range of expression, empowerment of people to express and the balance of structure. Based on these ideas we will look at what new future interactive media we might create.
