Graduate Admissions in the Computer Science Degree Program

Required Application Materials

The deadline for consideration for Fall 2006 will be January 15, 2006: the on-line application must be completed, and all other materials must be received by this date. Applications must be received at the School of Computing by January 15th for the following Fall Semester.

Information you will need to complete the on-line form:

  • The research groups in which you would prefer to study. Click here to learn more about our research groups. You will select your top three choices from the following:
    • Educational Software
    • Formal Methods including verification tools, Logic, Theorem Proving and Industrial Applications
    • Graphics, Scientific Visualization, Perception, and Image Processing
    • Hardware systems including Architecture and VLSI
    • Machine Learning and Natural Language Processing
    • Scientific Computing, Parallel Computing, Computational Science Applications and Software Architecture
    • Software systems including Operating Systems, Compilers, Networking, Programming Languages, Embedded Systems, and Software Engineering
    • Virtual Reality and Robotics
    • Other
    • Undecided
  • Resume
  • Personal Statement
  • Three letters of recommendation. Letters of recommendation should be filled out on the downloadable forms and mailed to us by the recommenders (on-line forms available in postscript and pdf).
  • Most recent GRE and TOEFL (if applicable) scores and dates of the examinations.
