The Peaks of the Wasatch Mountains! |

The Wasatch Mountains are a Mountain range running north to south. They are located about 200 Miles from the Idaho border, down to Nephi, Utah. The Highest Peak in this range is Mount Nebo, which is 3636 meters high. It is possible to hike to the top, though very difficult, as you have to hike over 1100 meters over very steep terrain. Some parts of the mountain rarely reach above freezing temperatures, some staying frozen for 10 months of the year!

The second highest peak is Mt. Timpanogos, at 3582 meters. The hike is longer, but far more gradual. It may take a while to get there but It is worth it! Some see shapes when the look at the mountain, including sleeping Indians! When you hike, Be sure to take time to Oxygen, as most trail- Heads climb over 1500 Meters! |

Lone peak isn’t so high, but it is a lot more fun to hike up! Its trail is extremely rugged, and you gain over 1845 meters of elevation, so be careful not to overwork yourself! It is located in the center of the US’s first congressionally designated Wilderness Area! If you are a beginner, looking for some places to hike up, be sure to check out Mt. Olympus and Grandeur Peak! Mt Olympus has an easy trail that only raises by 1234 Meters! If you are looking for a bit more of a challenge, it also has an alternate trail that goes up by 2751 Meters. Grandeur Peak is 2529 Meters tall, but has a very easy trail, going up a mere 800 meters! |

That’s not all there is to see in the Wasatch Mountains, there are many more peaks, and mo8ntains to explore! They also have some history behind them, such as mount Olympus was named after the Mount Olympus in Greece, which is where the gods were said to live! Who knows, maybe you will discover your own path, and a trail will be named after you! |
