The Wasatch Mountains are a narrow mountain range running north to south for about 200 miles from the Idaho borders the town of Nephi in central Utah, The Wasatch mountains are located on the western edge of the rocky Mountains |

Mount Nebo ~ This is the highest peak in the Wasatch. Mount Nebo is located at the southern end of the range. Mount Nebo rises more than 1670 meters from the land surrounding it. And the elevation of its highest peak is 3636 meters. Mount Nebo is named after the Mount Nebo of Jordan, Said to be the place where Moses Died. |

The Hike ~ This is a strenuous hike with 1158 meter’ elevation gain to the summit. Plus most of the mountain is covered in snow 10 out of 12 months of the year. |

Mount Timpanogos ~ Mount Timpanogos is the second highest mountain along the Wasatch Range sits at 3582 meters at its highest peak. It is found eat of Orem and Provo. Mount Timpanogos is said to have the shape of a sleeping Indian Maiden. And a series of beautiful underground caves are found on the northwest slope of the mountain. The origin of the name Timpanogos is not entirely clear. |

The Hike ~ A hike to the peak from the major trailheads has 1450 - 1500 meters’ elevation gain and may take an experienced hiker 10 - 11 hours to complete round trip. |

Lone Peak ~ Lone Peak sits at 3430 Meters witch isn't that high. But it is know for being quite rugged. Lone Peak is situated between Little cottonwood and American Fork Canyons. It is the centerpiece of Utah's first congressionally designated Wilderness Area. Lone Peak Wilderness Area was established in 1977. |

The Hike ~ This Mountain is know for being very rugged and the hike to the summit requires an elevation gain of 1845 meters. |

Grandeur Peak ~ Grandeur Peak is 2529 Meters In Elevation. |

Mount Olympus ~ The summit of Mount Olympus is 2751 Meters in Elevation. Mount Olympus is named for the Mount Olympus in Greece the home of the Gods in Greek mythology. |

The Hike ~ Both Mountains are very popular for hiking and are accessible to the beginning and intermediate hikers. Mount Olympus’s easier trail has an elevation gain of 1234 meters. Grandsir Peaks easier and Favored trail rises just under a 800 meter elevation gain. |

The Hike ~ Hiking trails are long but not overly steep. A round trip to the top will take 6-7 hours. Plus parts of the trails are suitable for mountain biking in the summer and cross-country skiing in the winter. |

Mount Ben Lomond ~ Located east of Ogden, Utah , is one of the better-know mountains in the northern Wasatch. The elevation of the summit is 2960 meters. Spectacular views of the Great Salt Lake and Willard bay reward those reaching the summit. Mount Ben Lomond was named for a mountain in the highlands of Scotland. |
