Updates
- 03/10/98 from Chris Alfeld
- New versions of acm98.cpp and acm98.h. This corrected an error that
originated from mismatched versions between the two. It also
corrected an error that was causing GAME.hand_size to be incorrect.
- 03/02/98 from Chris Alfeld
- New pascal version out. Fixed errors in card_cmp and cleaned up
some parenthetical problems that were causing failures in
compilers. Everyone using Pascal please upgrade to this version.
- 02/25/98 from Chris Alfeld
- Cleaned up the page somewhat, added dates in several places, and
added a QnA about PLAYER_NAME. PLAYER_NAME
has no real use and the it's lack in the Pascal version is of no worry.
- 02/25/98 from Chris Alfeld
- Added te_server/te_dispatch code and executable versions of
those and random. Nothing new, just getting the disk contents
on the web.
- 02/25/98 from Chris Alfeld
- A variable named
IN was causing problems for some
people in the pascal version. That's been fixed. I also added
shell.p which is identical to random.p except with empty bodies
for PlayCard, TakeCard, etc.
- 02/24/98 from Peter Jensen
- The pascal version is up, and it runs well for us under unix. I
have not tested it on a PC, however, it should work as it was written
using standard pascal. One note -- the library and player code
were merged. DO NOT modify any of the code outside the commented
area, or your program will likely not work.
- 02/24/98 from Peter Jensen
- Some contestants have been unable to take full advantage of the
testing programs due to limitations in their equipment. (You need
to be able to create 32-bit executables to use your program with
te_dispatch and te_server on a PC.) To remedy this, we are in
the process of making everyone accounts on the machines at the U.
All you will need is access to the internet and everyone will be able
to use the testing software. Details coming shortly.
- 02/23/98 from Chris Alfeld
- Got the C/C++ files and the description up. Pascal still a few
days off.
- 02/20/98 from Chris Alfeld
- I've been sick all week. The web page is up now and the Pascal
version should be coming very soon.
