GRADING

This is not an easy problem to solve. We don't expect your programs to work on every input image. Your team will be graded relative to the other teams in the contest.

You will be graded based on the following criteria:

• Your implementation of CountLayers and how well it's hooked to the program.
• How well your code runs on the sample images
• How well your code runs on other images
• Originality of your solution
• Good programming style
• Program comments

You may assume the following about the images:

• There will be 10 digits in each image
• The 10 digits will not necessarily be all different and definitely not in order
• Digits 4 and 0 will always have one hole (not true in real life!)
