You should begin by reading this general information on remote access to the CADE Lab. It explains how to obtain a free SSH client and how to use it to access your CADE Lab account.
Once you have SSH installed on your Windows machine, you can access the CADE Lab by specifying the name of the machine you want to use, your CADE login name, and your CADE password. All of the machines in the CADE Lab are labeled with their names, and each name is of the form lab1-#, lab2-#, or lab3-#, where # is a number.
When you access a CADE Lab machine via SSH, you will effectively be working inside of an xterm window. You will be able to run Unix shell commands, but you will not be able to run an application that opens a window unless you also have software such as Exceed (which is not free) installed on your machine.
