Agent Research Group - Personal Assistants
A personal assistant as an agent which provides the following capabilities:
Acts as an intermediary between information appliances and e-services
Provides an integrated collection of trusted, personalized services that represents the user’s interests
Provides a single point of presence for the user shared by appliances
Acts to simplify and personalize the Internet-based world of information and web services
Can track the user’s context and provide a customized view of local services
Is FIPA (Foundation for Intelligent Physical Agents) compliant, the standard that is most widely adopted by commercial and research organizations (see www.fipa.org for more information on FIPA
Is available 24/7
